This is a neat concept. Imagine having to read back a day when we were wasting our own lives with nonsense or acting like d*cks. Instead why not make every day count in this adventure novel.
I decided to change my career and work towards becoming a counselor, because I wanted to stop wasting my life on things that in reality do not really matter. My journey so far has been a blessing.
Just because I love to be a voice of dissent, I think this sort of philosophy is a lot of pressure. It’s a nice sentiment, don’t get me wrong, but I prefer the idea of living the best life you can live. Not every day is going to be awesome so keep an eye on the big picture.
I don’t really see the pressure. It is another way of checking yourself and saying ‘Really? Is this stupid argument/ person/ event worth my time? Is this what I want to represent me in my book of life? Could I be doing something more productive /fun/ brilliant with my time?’
Living the best life sounds good if somewhat nebulous and unfocussed IMO. What does it actually mean in practice?
Keeping an eye on the big picture I can do.
In any case I like dissent!
I do this. Every time I have had a good and productive day I read to myself in my mind as if telling a story. I find it reinforces me to try just as hard again the next day.
Yes indeed so true..start afresh. . New book new page.. New writing
🙂
I like it. 😉
Good stuff!
Small steps, that’s how I am doing it…it’s all about the small steps towards our goals. Even when I don’t feel motivated, I just tell myself that all I need is a small step.
It really is! And being consistent with those steps.
