A woman named marinna rollins had charge of a handsome little pit bull named Huey whom she was looking after whilst her estranged husband was stationed in Korea. Huey had been adopted from an animal shelter in Cumberland County, North Carolina, so one can imagine that he had already experienced the arse end of humanity.
She and her boyfriend jerren heng took Huey to a wooded park, tied him to a tree and shot him multiple times whilst recording the event and laughing. heng can be heard asking to shoot the dog also. A friend of theirs posted the video on Facebook in the hopes that it would highlight their actions and lead to punishment.
I was very saddened to hear that the woman was found dead in her home on Sunday.
It was suicide and not payback.
For those of you who have been following the world’s favourite giraffe. Get your cigars ready!
April inspects her baby’s hooves peeking out from her behind.
The video depicts what appears to be a re-occurring theme of the typical treatment of African maids who are forced to work in the Gulf States.
WARNING! NOT FOR THE FAINT HEARTED.
The video can be seen here.
When / if you view it, let me know what it makes you think or feel, because whilst it’s shocking I’m not surprised by it…which is not a good thing.
And just so you know, the dialogue is something along the lines of
‘Help me! Help me!’
‘Get up you crazy woman.’
What Say You?
Where do we file this one?
This is Carter Blanchard from Arkansas USA. He developed vitiligo, a skin condition that gradually makes the skin lose pigment. He is 8 years old and his skin started changing whilst at school. The young ‘in was feeling very bad about himself and had told his mother that he hated his face and hated the way he looked.
That was until he met…Rowdy!
Rowdy was rocking the same look! He developed vitiligo the same year as Carter and the two met up and became the best of buds. Rowdy is a thirteen year old pure black labrador who showed Carter that 1. he was no longer isolated and 2. the vitiligo thing… it ain’t no big deal!
Carter’s mother says that no one else could have got this message through to her son to make him feel better about himself but Rowdy. 🙂
Rowdy for president!
…So I’m minding my own business surfing on the net when I came across something very special.
It contained tiny balls of fur falling about, rolling, standing in their food, wrassling and scuttling everywhere… I started watching and as time was ticking by I resized the page and stuck it in the right hand corner of the desktop 27 incher…so I could (conceivably) carry on working…that seems like weeks or months ago now…and I’m still watching!
My new addiction is called Kitten Academy. A 24 hour live streaming of a cat foster home where you can watch kittens get born and grow into fine young kitten men and women and ‘graduate’ from the Academy once adopted.
Trust me when I say no description can do it justice. You have to go there for yourself and have your tiny hearts broken by these blessed creatures.
Tell them The Ed sent you! 🙂
You will arrive at a good time where a Superstar Kitten called Charlie was recently adopted (so you missed his graduation – a very beautiful bittersweet affair!) but a Momcat named Angel has just given birth to ‘the fishes.’ Fishes? You’ll understand eventually!
I decided to seek out the headmaster of the scholarly establishment to get some behind the scenes information…
See the whole story HERE.
A mother orangutan with her little baby clinging to her approached a village in Borneo. She was looking for food her her baby as her home had been encroached on first by the villagers and then stripped bare by palm oil companies.
A group of villagers spotted her, began throwing rocks at her and beating her with sticks.
A male orang nearby saw what was happening and tried to defend the already weakened and possibly already injured mother. He was chased away.
The villagers continued to beat the mother until she fainted. Then they tied her with ropes and tried to pull her daughter away. She rallied for a moment and tried to rescue her baby so the villagers dragged her to a pool of water and submerged her head until she passed out.
Then they threw her into a cage.
They tossed the baby in with her.
She was barely alive at this point, struggling under the beating she had been given and water in her lungs.
Mom mustered enough strength to put her arms around her frightened baby and hug her close. Her baby tried in vain to bite through the ropes that were binding her.
Fortunately an IAR‘s veterinarian stumbled on the scene and managed to rescue the mother and the child from the barbarity.
Unfortunately the beating, stoning and the drowning proved too much for the mother and despite the rescue, she died.
Just another day…
As far as orangutans are concerned it is just one of the ways that man is killing them off to make way for their palm oil and other products. An orang is likely to be either shot on sight or burnt from the wildfires caused by deforestation, or the mother is killed to steal her child so that people can take selfies with it.
Take your pick.
Hey! Fancy A Keychain?
Vendors have been selling these colourful little trinkets below:
When I tell you that they contain live animals I don’t suppose I need tell you that they are sold in the animal Godforsaken hell known as China.
Little animals are suspended in a brightly coloured liquids that keep them alive for a few days after which they die when the oxygen runs out. And before they die they get to stay trapped in a plastic bubble, running in circles desperately trying to find an exit, only to be bought and thrown around by a bunch of **** wits.
They often share these small deadly prisons with colourful beads and other decorations so that’s…um …nice.
What Say You?
Is there a gene missing from these people or is it me?
Have you bought yours yet?
