Shocking Video

the insanity of humanity lg

The video depicts what appears to be a re-occurring theme of the typical treatment of African maids who are forced to work in the Gulf States.

WARNING! NOT FOR THE FAINT HEARTED.

The video can be seen here.

When / if you view it, let me know what it makes you think or feel, because whilst it’s shocking I’m not surprised by it…which is not a good thing.

And just so you know, the dialogue is something along the lines of

‘Help me! Help me!’

‘Get up you crazy woman.’

Cute Dog Helps Young Boy Find His Swagger!

This is Carter Blanchard from Arkansas USA. He developed vitiligo, a skin condition that gradually makes the skin lose pigment. He is 8 years old and his skin started changing whilst at school. The young ‘in was feeling very bad about himself and had told his mother that he hated his face and hated the way he looked.

That was until he met…Rowdy!

Rowdy was rocking the same look! He developed vitiligo the same year as Carter and the two met up and became the best of buds. Rowdy is a thirteen year old pure black labrador who showed Carter that 1. he was no longer isolated and 2. the vitiligo thing… it ain’t no big deal!

Carter’s mother says that no one else could have got this message through to her son to make him feel better about himself but Rowdy. 🙂

Rowdy for president!

This Little Guy Dares You Not To Fall In Love With Him…

…So I’m minding my own business surfing on the net when I came across something very special.

It contained tiny balls of fur falling about, rolling, standing in their food, wrassling and scuttling everywhere… I started watching and as time was ticking by I resized the page and stuck it in the right hand corner of the desktop 27 incher…so I could (conceivably) carry on working…that seems like weeks or months ago now…and I’m still watching!

My new addiction is called Kitten Academy. A 24 hour live streaming of a cat foster home where you can watch kittens get born and grow into fine young kitten men and women and ‘graduate’ from the Academy once adopted.
Trust me when I say no description can do it justice. You have to go there for yourself and have your tiny hearts broken by these blessed creatures.

Tell them The Ed sent you! 🙂

You will arrive at a good time where a Superstar Kitten called Charlie was recently adopted (so you missed his graduation – a very beautiful bittersweet affair!) but a Momcat named Angel has just given birth to ‘the fishes.’ Fishes? You’ll understand eventually!

I decided to seek out the headmaster of the scholarly establishment to get some behind the scenes information…

See the whole story HERE.

Anyone Who Had A Heart…

A mother orangutan with her little baby clinging to her approached a village in Borneo. She was looking for food her her baby as her home had been encroached on first by the villagers and then stripped bare by palm oil companies.

3

A group of villagers spotted her, began throwing rocks at her and beating her with sticks.

A male orang nearby saw what was happening and tried to defend the already weakened and possibly already injured mother. He was chased away.

The villagers continued to beat the mother until she fainted. Then they tied her with ropes and tried to pull her daughter away. She rallied for a moment and tried to rescue her baby so the villagers dragged her to a pool of water and submerged her head until she passed out.

Then they threw her into a cage.

They tossed the baby in with her.

She was barely alive at this point, struggling under the beating she had been given and water in her lungs.

2

Mom mustered enough strength to put her arms around her frightened baby and hug her close. Her baby tried in vain to bite through the ropes that were binding her.

Fortunately an IAR‘s veterinarian stumbled on the scene and managed to rescue the mother and the child from the barbarity.

Unfortunately the beating, stoning and the drowning proved too much for the mother and despite the rescue, she died.

Just another day…

1

As far as orangutans are concerned it is just one of the ways that man is killing them off to make way for their palm oil and other products. An orang is likely to be either shot on sight or burnt from the wildfires caused by deforestation, or the mother is killed to steal her child so that people can take selfies with it.

Take your pick.

This little girl however was taken into care and spent 4 years learning how to be an orangutan before being released back into the wild.lahaa-wpftr3

Early Xmas Pressie For Psychos

Hey! Fancy A Keychain?

Vendors have been selling these colourful little trinkets below:

When I tell you that they contain live animals I don’t suppose I need tell you that they are sold in the animal Godforsaken hell known as China.

Little animals are suspended in a brightly coloured liquids that keep them alive for a few days after which they die when the oxygen runs out. And before they die they get to stay trapped in a plastic bubble, running in circles desperately trying to find an exit, only to be bought and thrown around by a bunch of  **** wits.

They often share these small deadly prisons with colourful beads and other decorations so that’s…um …nice.

Elephant Sentenced To Death For Murder – True Story!

the insanity of humanity lg

An almost unbelievable story of human idiocy.

Get a cup of tea and I’ll begin…

Charlie Sparks was the owner of Sparks World famous Shows circa 1916 Tennessee. The son of English music hall performers he knew all there was to know about giving the audience what they wanted. Without doubt the star of his show was a large Asian elephant called Mary, billed as ‘The Largest Living Land Animal On Earth.’

Mary would perform tricks like standing on her head, playing musical instruments and pitching a baseball. Indeed despite what we know about circus and the training of animals Charlie Sparks was said to have loved Mary and he and his childless wife treated her like the child they never had. With that mindset he did not use whips and such on her.

Unfortunately when they hired a new elephant trainer he forgot this and use a bull whip on Mary during a procession through the streets. Much has been debated about the exact turn of events since, but basically Mary was said to have grabbed the trainer with her trunk and threw him. Then according to eye witnesses marched over to the fallen man and stomped on his head.

The audience scattered in fear screaming. Their screams brought Charlie Sparks over to calm the elephant. Once she was calmed the crowds fear turned to anger and they yelled for Mary to be killed.

The 100 ton derrick

The 100 ton derrick

What happened next is a story that happens even today with scary regularity across our oh so modern social networks and press.

Firstly Mary was arrested. (Yup….I know!) Whilst languishing in ‘jail’ the news of the hands death caught fire. She was labelled ‘Murderous Mary’ and stories began to spread that she had killed before. The circus’s next stop Johnson City made it clear that the low down ‘murderer’ and her cohorts (the circus) were no longer welcome in their city and more and more bookings fell apart.

Then a rumour went round that a lynch mob was on it’s way with to Kingsport Tennessee to kill Mary. Charlie Sparks began to feel the impact of it all on his business. He knew that if he did not mollify the mob and give them what they wanted he would be ruined.

He decided to put Mary to death publicly.

Having dismissed other methods to kill her like shooting, poison and electrocution he came to the conclusion that hanging would be the most ‘humane’ method to dispatch Mary the elephant.

To have access to the specialist heavy duty 100 ton derricks used for uplifting railroad cars, the whole circus had to move to the city of Erwin where they could be hired. And so it was a grey, drizzly, utterly bizarre day of September 13 1916 that the circus pulled into town.

Mary is hanged

Mary is hanged

The crowds had gathered from all over. Residents of Erwin had traveled down to watch the killing. Witnesses said that Mary felt that something was amiss and was reluctant to participate trumpeting her unease. They decided to procession her as normal to her death with the other elephants to calm her down, then the others were hastily taken out of eye sight and Mary was quickly set upon by the roustabouts. They threw the derricks thick chain around her neck before she had time to object and the signal was made to lift her.

As the chain tightened and Mary was lifted off the ground she struggled. Eye witnesses say that the roustabouts had forgotten to release her ankle chains and they could hear the sickening noise of Mary’s tendons being torn.

Suddenly the chain snapped! Poor Mary fell heavily onto the ground. The crowd shrieked and ran away in fear that Murderous Mary would rise up and seek retribution. But she was stunned by the fall and obviously in great pain from the sustained injuries.

When the ‘murderer’ did not get up shooting from the hip Hollywood-style, the crowd regained it’s cockiness and a roustabout climbed onto Mary’s back to attach a heavier chain. Unsurprisingly Mary struggled less this time as she was hoisted up again and in the grim, grey rainy surroundings the great creature hanging with all

Job done.

Job done.

her weight trained on her neck fell limp and died.

The exact spot Mary was hanged remains a mystery. There is no marker or memorial as later Erwin residents did not enjoy the association with the historical embarrassing event and preferred not to refer to it, although judging the event by today’s treatment of animals I would suggest they should not feel too isolated.

The Story Of Duke

1

One day the folks at the Rudozem Street Dog Rescue got a call about a dog that had been tied up and abandoned.

His name was Duke.

2

The locals said that the family that left him there had told them to leave him to die.

3

They approached him carefully. He was covered in flies, batting them off with his paws constantly.

4

His legs were horribly distorted and he had a bad cough…but he turned out to be wonderfully friendly.

5

He was taken back to the shelter which was full, but no one had the heart to turn him away.

6

He was meek, watchful but loved the love he was given.

7

When he was taken to the vet they initially thought his deformed legs were a result of malnutrition…

8

It turns out that Duke’s legs had been purposely broken with brute force…

9

They also discovered he was a mere pup of not more than 10 months old…

10

…and that his cough was not infection but due to the heavy chain tied around his throat.

11

They decided to fit the little fella with splints to try and straighten his legs.

12

They started by setting his bones.

13

He had a cast put on.

14

The plan was to get the legs as straight as possible before the next stage – a series of operations.

15

Through it all Duke (who was named Duke at the shelter) was as good as gold.

16

It didn’t take the resilient boy too long to get used to his cast.

17

Duke would have to endure repeat vet visits for some time.

18 19

But he took it all in his stride.

20

How’s that for progress!

21

But surgery would still be needed to complete the process.

22

23 24

25

His legs were re-wrapped to continue the healing.

26

He got very used to having his picture taken!

27 28

And he made lots of supportive new friends at the shelter.

29 30

Y’all still here? Pfffft!… Sometimes fame can be a drag maaaan!

31 32

After the physical and mental rehabilitation there was good news of a potential new home!

36

After careful vetting it was confirmed…

37

Very soon Duke would be off to the UK!

38

The rescue home bid a bittersweet farewell to Duke.

39

After swapping Bulgaria for the UK Duke settled into a loving home and has lived there ever since snoozing like a king!

40

That was the story of Duke.

The Rudozem Street Dog Rescue is run by a British family in Bulgaria.

They noticed the plight of dogs and cats and felt they had to do something.

Via ignorance and sheer cruelty, dogs and cats are often spat at, kicked, have stones

hurled at them and endure various other acts of violence.

The Best Selfies Ever!!!

I CANNOT be the only one who loves this. This is the only type of selfie I am prepared so far not to look on with withering contempt! 🙂

Allan Dixon has a habit of coaxing animals into a posing for selfies with him all around the world. Unlike the abysmal morons who have killed swans and dolphins trying to take pictures with them, Mr Dixon will wait however long it takes to gain their trust, from minutes to ass-numbing hours, sitting there waiting for them to come up to him!

Pick 5 Shout Bingo And Win A Fiat Uno!

Apparently according to a survey these are the things we worry the most about:

20. Worried about the area I live in/ crime levels

19. Pet’s health

18. If my dress sense is good

17. Meeting work targets or goals

16. Whether I’m a good parent/ raising kids right

15. A friend or family member I’ve fallen out with

14. Whether I’ll find the right partner/ whether my current partner is right

13. Whether my partner still loves me

12. Whether or not I am attractive

11. I need to find a new job

10. I seem to be generally unhappy

9. Paying rent/mortgage

8. Worried about my physique

7. Wrinkles or ageing appearance

6. Job security

5. Financial/credit card debts

4. My diet

3. Low energy levels

2. Worried about my savings/ financial future

1. Getting old in general

Now I poo poo’ed the list at first…and then took a proper look and thought, ‘Aha! That’s me…oooogh that’s me too! Oh cripes that’s me as well!’

I know if you go down the list you’ll find at least  3 or 4 things that apply to you (…and sorry, feel free to shout ‘Bingo!’ but there ‘ll be no Fiat Uno!)

But what does this tell us? Well, it’s hardly surprising that we worry about things that are difficult for most of us is it? But here’s the thing…for me, (on a good day!), I would swap the word ‘worry’ for am doing something about.’

We all get caught up in the spiral of concern about the future going round and round in our heads, but I like to check myself with a ‘and how is this helping?’ because we all know worry never solved a thing.

7 times out of 10 it works for me.

SO HOW ‘BOUT YOU?

Can you find 5 things on the list that are a no brainer worry topics for you?

And can you see yourself changing I ‘worry’ into I ‘am doing something about’ instead?
