Blue pill is a no-brainer. People only go to Oxbridge to get laid, right?
(Sex-craved college students!)
I mean, they don’t even study there, they “read”.
“Me? Oh, that? I’ve read history at Cambridge.”
(Do note that no-one has chosen the red pill. Tss… liars!)
Yours truly,
Wilberforce
Ha ha! Although if memory serves it has been chosen since your last visit Motram. (Motram?! I think I just made that up and! I don’t believe that is in the non-existant rules!)
Malcom maybe?
Motram. And I’ll hear no more about it sir!
Mum’s the word.
Yours truly,
Shackleton.
Ha! You home yet? I guess I’ll find out when I come visit.
Yes, dear Iphigenia. I am home.
Yours ever, Wilberforce.
Ha ha! Love it! You went all Greek mythology huh? Okay I see you your Greek mythology and raise you a biblical dear Meshach…although I also like Wilberforce lol. 😀
Mazel tov!
Ha! 😀
(How have you been? Not much posting lately. Busy on other projects?)
Yes! HEEELP! Is there somewhere I could get more hours in the day? I’m missing blogging! I’ll pay black market prices!
In the Cayman islands?
They got extra hours??!! How many can I get by the pound?
Depends whether it is pre- or post-Brexit.
Lol. Making fun of us eh? 🙂
Just a fact. Brexit is a disaster… For everyone.
“Folly and ignorance, the common lot of mankind”. We haven’t progressed much since Shakespeare have we?
Nope. Moronic idiocy seems very much in fashion these days in general.
Spearheading the world’s crusade to self-destruction… 😦
I keep liking this comment and even answered it before and the darn thing stays orange. What are you doing with my comments Phineus?
I wouldn’t know Agatha. This thread has been going on since August… 🙂
Yours truly, Phileas. (Not Phineus, please)
What’s wrong with Phineus pray tell?
Don’t even need to think about this one. Education is never wasted. Being a media “personality” or whatever they call them seems to me to lead more often than not to a stunted life.
Doesn’t it? I’d really be interested in a study of the happiness quotient between celebrities and non celebrities. One always gets the impression that the ‘celebs’ that are being created out of nothing today end up being rather disappointed at how insubstantial it really is and that the majority of them don’t actually get to make squillions of dollars.
Although because of the current environment I expect the non celebrities might be less happier than ‘normal’ times Lorne.
I think you could still have debt with the red pill as the work doesn’t always pay like its probably not going to pay back much for the black girl (sorry forget her name) who they didn’t even bother to show. So I’m going for the blue pill.
Yes indeed. People are always made to believe that just being on TV is lucrative. It is not. The filthy lucre comes with having a good agent and what you can often do away from the program you are known for…unless you are a Kardashian of course.
Controversial maybe But I’m going for red. You can do blue later so why not take the opportunity thats in fron of you?
Interesting and true. 😀
I think education is key but it isn’t the be all and end all. Perhaps I’ll choose the best bits of both options for my kids! 😀
Stop breaking rules Hannah! I will have you traced! 😀
TV work can be lucrative but these reality stars don’t stick around very long do they? The turnover is pretty quick so you have to get in there in your 15 minutes and make as much as the teeth whitener companies will allow you to. I’d prefer my children to use their intelligence so blue for me.
Okay but you can use your intelligence in any environment no?
Blue pill. I would not want my kids on that tacky show.
Lol okay. I hear you.
I’m not sure I would pick any The Ed, but if I had to then blue. Sex on TV or huge debt, tough choice.
I like to keep you on your toes!
I wouldn’t mind either but I’d tell my kids not to have sex on TV. Dani didn’t so it can be done.
Indeed it can. Makes you wonder why a TV production would set up a situation to encourage sex on TV in the first place to be fair. Sure a few people might do it but it feels more like a setup to make sure it happens and is normalized. You have to wonder why.
I would pick the blue pill and make sure they got a well paid job! 🙂
If you could guarantee that you’d be in the money too! 😀
Neither option appeals to me. There should be a purple pill. A purple pill is avoid celebrity, avoid university, become a tradesman like a plumber or an electrician or a roofer (here in the UK). Then you can be happy without the dubious fame or the dubious education! Education nowadays is a profitable industry, churning out political leftist sheep. And god knows how brain-numbing Love Island is like – I have never watched it. Interesting post. Thank you.
I hear you. I’d go even further though because even many labourer jobs will be practically extinct in the future as tech robots take their jobs.
I’d defo keep education just not the type you have described because I have never believed in that either. My disclaimer is I did watch Love Island and two thirds of the way in my numbed brain went on strike and wouldn’t allow me to watch anymore!

We have this in Australia! Though I haven’t watched it. For me it’s blue all the way, but then my view of education is a bit skewed by being a teacher and a mother. I believe if your only goal for education is to get a job, you’re going to be disappointed. Even if your education lands you in the high-paying-fast-paced job you always dreamed about, you might end up being unhappy. What education is good for is helping us become critical, discerning, engaged, stimulated and stimulating human-beings. What’s more, education leads to more education – let’s be life-long learners.
Then again, why not do both? Hell, if you’re attractive enough and public sex is your particular kink, go for it. At least you’ll be educated enough to know why the job offers aren’t rolling in and what you should do about the rash down-stairs.
(I also want to add that education is not necessarily the same as schooling. Schooling is often good for producing crushed, uninspired, confused human-beings.)
Ha! You got in there with the end disclaimer while my finger was posed to type the same 😀
Can’t say i disagree with your other points as well.
