  1. Oh I totally get what you mean. Although nowadays (despite the gender inequality), a lot of women are in the leaderships positions. I just can’t see Angela Merkel as “evil” as Duterte or as vile as trump. Strong women have always been vilified (such as Eva Perón or even Imelda Marcos). But Imelda isn’t as evil as her husband. Rumors however were different. They said Imelda was the crazy one but in reality her biggest sin was her collection of shoes. That and her greed.

    Am I making any sense?

    1. No I hear you Boots! Same word, different interpretation for women:
Strong for men = bitch for women.
Non conformist, eccentric genius for men = unstable, emotional, crazy for women – must be her period.
Husband is a psychotic, crazy genocidal despot = it’s the wife’s fault. She made him do it.

  2. I read some of the comments but let’s look at the reality. Historically, men are still the bigger evil. Hitler, Pol Pot, Idi Amin, Ayatollah Khomeini, etc etc. So yeah let me take the red pill.

    1. Get you Boots! 🙂 Can’t disagree though…but I do wonder if women were top dog through the decades would it not have gone to their heads too do you think?
I mean are men the biggest evil simply because they were in the position to carry out those evils?.. Jus’ interested in what you think.

  3. I vote red. Which is what I have always advocated: let women work.
They’re smarter and tougher. Then men can go fishing.
And after a while, all hell will break loose. (As in any unbalanced power situation)
(And we will move to 50/50)
    😉

    1. But do we need hell to keep breaking loose. Men have assured that for years through their persistent savagery, could we just get straight to the 50/50?
Get your people to tell my people…yadda….yadda…lets blue sky this and put this in our diaries.

      1. Some researcher whose name I forgot (English? German?) just wrote a book that seems to demonstrate that the only reduction of social inequality in history seems to occur after war or epidemics. Since Plague appears to be controlled…

      2. The great Depression was solved not by Keynes or the New Deal, but by WWII. Have to build a lot of tanks and planes which will be thrown away afterwards, destroy half the planet, and then rebuild with juicy contracts… Best option. (Did I really just write that?)

      3. Yup. All on paper in invisible ink. The Mater has already over-written her weekly shopping list on some of the evidence by mistake so part of your ‘story’ is now intermingled with some peas, frittatas and a bunch of grapes – a fact which I think merely emphasizes your guilt!

  4. As my mother was my primary perpetrator of sexual abuse as a child, I have a hard time blaming men for all of our problems. Things are getting better – stick with what’s working.

  5. Would make zero difference. Bad people are bad people, regardless. Selfish, self-interested people will always be that way. It was self-interest of Harvey Weinstein that made him a predator and it was self-interest that kept his victims quiet too – I’m not saying that’s not understandable, but that doesn’t change that they did it to protect themselves and their careers. And just look at Aung San Suu Kyi – she seemed like the moral superior and yet has remained inactive over the persecution of the Rohingya people.

As the old saying goes, no matter who you vote for you’ll get a politician.

    1. Brilliant! Never heard that before although have certainly lived by the theory without having it articulated so well. 🙂

…Although having thought about it, the current US president bucks the theory.

      He warrants a different description.

Ha! Yes I though of Aung San Suu Kyi when I was writing. Be interesting to know really what is going on there, if it’s just ego or political pressure or she just doesn’t give a damn. Whatever it is she is apparently willing to damage her international reputation for it.
