Impossible to give a ‘like’ for a horrible thing like this, except for the concern in sharing it. But I wonder if mankind has changed much. That day, it was by Action; today, it is by Inaction.

Do you know, I’m not so sure we have changed. Maybe just altered the targets?
Very True.
Sad, sad, day
Indeed. Thanks Felicia.
Reading this made me feel sick. How could we ever have been so ignorant? How can it be that there is still such ignorance??
I am embarrassed to read things like this but we all need to be reminded.

True and yes totally embarrassing what we get up to sometimes and we don’t seem to learn to quickly.

This is important and still sadly relevant.
Power to ‘the people?’
That’s one way of looking at it.
My goodness! This is just sad and disgraceful! I don’t even have words!
There just are none. Thanks POTS.
Dreadful. A poverty of the soul. Will we ever learn the value of each human being?
I really, really don’t know! I’m not convinced at all that the answer is yes any time soon.
This is powerful, telling, chilling. And, true even today
Hi Rajiv, unfortunately, you’re right.
What a day in our history! A stain on our civilization. Let’s hope we learned a lesson, and will try and do better, will try and live up to the name ‘civilized society.’
It is indeed a horrid world sometimes my friend.
Ah, agreed.

Very disturbing. I am always surprised by the way we treat one another.
What’s shocking is when you stop being surprised.
I can’t exactly hit Like on this, but it’s good, and uncomfortable, to be reminded.
Isn’t it? It’s definitely a shift uncomfortably in the chair topic, but our embarrassing history nonetheless.
Thanks Ellen.
Chilling. http://mitchteemley.com/2014/08/29/are-we-racists/
